SOLAR PLEXUS

Why a color pulls you in

  1. Your taste: Some colors you just like. That counts.

  2. Your culture: Where you come from gives colors meaning.

  3. Your feelings: You reach for colors that match how you feel, or how you want to feel.

  4. Your story: Your age and your memories shape the colors you love.

  5. Your surroundings: The places you live and spend time shape your palette.

  6. Your eyes: Everyone sees color a little differently.

  7. What’s in season: Trends in clothes, homes and online nudge you too.

Color and how you feel

Color is one of the easiest ways to set the tone for your day. Wear it, carry it, put it where you'll see it.

Feeling low or sluggish? Reach for warm colors: yellow, orange, red. Feeling tense? Reach for cool ones: blue, green.

Pick a color for the feeling you want, not the one you have.

Color your day

  1. How does your favorite color show up in your life?

  2. Does it change with the seasons? With your mood?

  3. When a color pulls you toward a low mood, which color could pull you back?

  4. How can you wear, carry or keep a color that feels like you?

Try this today

  1. Which flora would you want around you every day?

  2. How can you bring it closer: your space, your screen, your table?

  3. Which season or time of day feels most like you?

  4. What about you matches it?

  5. How can you make more room for that rhythm?
